The coastal regions of Spain were the beginnings of the holiday love affair for holidaymakers. Mainland Spain essentially has beaches on the northern and southern coast. The southern sunshine coast where all the 'costas' such as 'Costa del Sol', 'Costa Brava', 'Costa Blanca', 'Costa Dorada', 'Costa Tropical', the less well known 'Costa Almeria', 'Costa de la Luz' and 'Costa Calida'.

All the resorts on the various 'costas' are developed to provide an enjoyable break by the sea in Spain. All you need is to book that villa by the sea and anticipate many long sunny days during your villa holiday.

Often villas are furnished with elegant and simple furniture that features wrought iron. This type of furniture looks absolutely perfect in a warm climate and contrasts beautifully against coloured walls.

One of the interesting aspects of a holiday in Spain is to compare and discover Moorish and other influences. Many tourists return with tiles door plaques as a souvenir. Again, these look fabulous on Spanish villas and completely out of place on a terraced house in Huddersfield.

 

The nearer a villa to the sea, the more expensive

Everyone's ideal location is a villa virtually on the beach. The nearer your Spanish villa is to the sea and beach, the higher the rental price.

Not every coastal location has endless beaches, there are villas on rocky ledges and escarpments overlooking the sea which can also be wonderful. Imagine sitting on the patio spotting yachts and dolphins.

There are coastal areas which are completely built-up with wall to wall villas and apartments that stretch as far as the eye can see. You may decide that it is preferable to rent a villa out in the sticks, perhaps with a sea view and to travel to the beach.
